JUDGES LISTS

Annually, in line with Kennel Club requirements, the Rough Collie Breed Councilproduces a list of all Judges for Collies Rough, who may judge the breed with its support.As with all lists, these are collated from information given by all Member Clubs as to the suitability of the names to be included and criteria for inclusion to these lists is also published within the listing.

RCBC JUDGING LIST CRITERIA

A1 List - For persons who have been approved by the Kennel Club to award CC's and have the support of the Rough Collie Breed Council

A2 List - For persons who fulfil all the requirements for the A3 list and who have been assessed in accordance with Kennel Club requirements and accepted by the Kennel Club for inclusion on the A2 list and have the support of the Rough Collie Breed Council

A3 List - Indicates all persons the Council supports to award Challenge Certificates, but whom, as yet the Kennel Club has not approved

B List - Indicates all the person's the Council supports to judge the Breed at Championship shows without Challenge Certificates for the Breed or at Open Shows

A1 List - Specialist and Non Specialist
For persons who have been approved by the Kennel Club to award Challenge Certificaites in the Breed and have completed their first appointment
To have the support of the Breed Council

A2 List - Specialist and Non Specialist
For persons who fulfil all the requirements for the A34 List and who have been assessed in accordance with the Kennel Club requirements and accepted by the Kennel Club for inclusion on the A2 list and have the support of the Rough Collie Breed Council

A3 List - Breed Specialist
(a) Minimum of 10 years breeding and judging Rough Collies and have the support of the Rough Collie Breed Council
(b) To have bred and or owned 3 Rough Collies when they obtained their first entry in the Kennel Club Stud Book (save in exceptional circumstances)
(c) To have judged 80 Rough Collie classes (with an adequate geographical spread)
(d) To have handled 200 Rough Collies
(e) To have judged at 2 Breed Club Open Shows, one of which could be a Championship Show without Challenge Certificates where a minimum of 25 exhibits are handled in an adequate geographical spread
(f) To have attended a seminar given by a KC Accredited Trainer and passed the relevant examination on Kennel Club Regulations and Judging Procedures
(g) To have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer on Conformation and Movement
(h) To have attended and passed the relevant examination for the Kennel Club 'Hands On' assessment
(i) To have attended a breed specific seminar and have been assessed by three (3) KC Approved Assessors on at least two separate occasions (see note below)
(j) To have stewarded at a minimum of twelve shows

Note on (h) - The three assessments can be carried out at:
1. Breed Club Open Shows by two assessors (counts as two assessments)
2. General pen Show or Championship Show with no CC allocation where they handled a minimum of twelve Rough Collies by one assessor (counts as one assessment)
3. Rough Collie Breed Council Assessment day (counts as one assessment)

A3 List - Non Specialist
(a) A minimum of seven (7) years judging experience in any one breed (to include five years in Rough Collies and have the support of the Rough Collie Breed Council
(b) To have judged 80 Rough Collie classes (with an adequate geographical spread) and to have handled 200 Rough Collies
(c) To have judged one Rough Collie Breed Club Open Show or one Championship Show without Challenge Certificates where a minimum 25 exhibits were handled
(d) To have attended a Rough Collie breed specific seminar
(e) To have awarded Challenge Certificaites in one other breed (preferably in the Working or Pastoral group)
(f) To have stewarded a minimum of twelve shows

B List - Specialist
(a) To have 7 years experience owning and exhibiting the breed and have the support of the Rough Collie Breed Council
(b) To have judged 20 classes of Rough Collies at Open Shows
(c) To have handled 60 Rough Collies
(d) To have attended a Rough Collie Judging/Training Seminar
(e) To have stewarding experience

B List - Non Specialist

(a) To have 5 years judging experience in any one breed in the Pastoral/Working Group and to have the support of the Rough Collie Breed Council
(b) To have judged 60 Rough Collies
(c) To have judged 20 classes of the breed at Open Shows
(d) To have attended a Rough Collie Breed Specific Seminar
(e) To have stewarding experience
